The Department of Graphic Design Technology provides academic programmes designed to develop students’ creative, technical, professional, managerial and entrepreneurial skills for the graphic design and related industries. The departmental records specifically identify HND, B.Tech and M.Tech programmes.
HND (HIGH NATIONAL DIPLOMA)
The HND Commercial Arts (Graphic Design Option) is a 3-year programme that develops students’ practical and professional skills in graphic design, visual communication, typography, illustration, advertising, packaging, photography, printing, creative production, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for employment and self-reliance in the graphic design industry.
BACHOLAR OF TECHNOLOGY
The B.Tech programmes in Multimedia and Photography, Advertising and Packaging, Animation and Illustration, and Prepress and Printing Technology provide students with practical and creative skills in photography, digital media, advertising, branding, illustration, animation, printing and production. Each programme runs for four (4) years and prepares students for professional careers in the creative, media, advertising and printing industries.
MASTER
The M.Tech Graphic Design programme provides advanced academic and professional training in graphic design, visual communication, design research, creative practice, design theory and professional development. It prepares students for careers in senior graphic design practice, creative direction, research, consultancy, art direction and design education.
